Accessibility Statement

We believe the web should work for everyone. Crash Override is committed to providing a digital experience that is accessible to all users, regardless of ability or assistive technology.

Our Commitment

Crash Override is committed to conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at the AA level. These guidelines, developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), define how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, cognitive, and motor impairments.

Accessibility is not a one-time project. We treat it as an ongoing practice embedded in our design, development, and content creation processes. Every new feature and page is evaluated against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria before release.

Standards We Follow

Independent, internationally recognized standards guide every accessibility decision we make.

WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. Our target conformance level for all public-facing pages.

Section 508

US federal accessibility requirements. Our WCAG 2.1 AA conformance satisfies Section 508 standards.

ADA Compliance

Americans with Disabilities Act. We design and develop with the goal of equal access for all users.

What We Do

Specific measures we take to ensure our website and products are accessible to the widest possible audience.

  • Semantic HTML and ARIA attributes — All pages use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and ARIA labels to provide meaningful structure for assistive technologies.
  • Keyboard navigation support — Every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are visible and follow a logical tab order.
  • Screen reader compatibility — Content is tested with VoiceOver, NVDA, and JAWS to ensure accurate announcements, live region updates, and navigable page structure.
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios — All text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA minimum contrast ratios of 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
  • Responsive design for all devices — Layouts adapt from 320px to ultrawide viewports. Content reflows without horizontal scrolling at up to 400% zoom.
  • Alt text for all meaningful images — Every informative image includes descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are hidden from assistive technologies.
  • Skip navigation links — A skip-to-content link is provided at the top of every page so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass repeated navigation.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some parts of our website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are continuously auditing our pages and addressing issues as they are identified.

Third-party content, including embedded videos, external widgets, and user-generated content, may not always meet our accessibility standards. We work with our third-party providers to improve accessibility where possible.

If you encounter a barrier on any page, please let us know. We prioritize accessibility fixes in our development backlog and aim to resolve reported issues promptly.

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of the Crash Override website. If you experience any difficulty accessing content or functionality, or if you have suggestions for improvement, please contact us.
