Private Endpoint
Private Endpoint
Definition
A private endpoint (AWS PrivateLink, Azure Private Link, GCP Private Service Connect) provides private connectivity to a cloud service from within a VPC without traffic traversing the public internet. Private endpoints assign the service a private IP address in the VPC, enabling secure, low-latency access to S3, RDS, and SaaS services from private subnets.
They eliminate egress costs for supported services.
