Microsoft Defender for Cloud (formerly Azure Defender and Azure Security Center) is Microsoft's integrated cloud security posture management and workload protection platform. It provides CSPM capabilities across Azure, AWS, and GCP, detects threats against VMs, containers, databases, and storage, and enforces security policies through Azure Policy.

Its Defender plans offer advanced threat protection for specific resource types including Kubernetes, SQL, and storage.
