Definition

Deployment frequency measures how often an organization successfully deploys code to production. It is one of the four DORA metrics and a leading indicator of DevOps maturity.

Elite performers deploy on demand (multiple times per day), enabled by automated testing, trunk-based development, and progressive delivery practices that reduce deployment risk.
